In this nice example of the future application of an artificial intelligence based-system, we see that customized content is being presented to the public in a fraction of a second. If we decompose the technical solution into it’s basic composants, we can identify the following subsystems:
1. Visioning and Imaging: The capture of the person eye and the digitization of the iris.
2. Matching and Indentification: Identification by mapping the iris onto the existing data.
3. Real-time data retrieval and analysis: Selection of personal data, profile, preferences, etc.
4. Presentation of individual content: Customize,adapt and present individual messages
The integration of these various subsystems will put a major challenge on the perfomance (time-response) and on the interfacing of the solution. Customer targetting in tomorrow’s shopping mall, will take place in a blink of an eye.
