Scene cult from The Matrix; thought provocating movie from the late 90’s. In the Matrix, man has been surpassed by his machines. The only reason that mankind is still kept alive, is that it serves as a necessary power source for the machines. To assure the duration of the batteries, human beings are plugged into a virtual dreamworld. The harsh reality – as explained by Morpheus to Neo – is somewhat hard to bear. Interesting stuff for those interesting in the future of artificial intelligence.
